Hi! I’m Katelyn.
If you’ve landed here, chances are that you’re going through a hard time.
Maybe you’re…
A college student who’s overwhelmed with stress and adjusting to living on your own,
A young adult going through a breakup or trying to make sense of your 20s, or
An adult of any age who’s experienced a loss or wants to understand yourself better.
Maybe you can’t necessarily pinpoint what’s wrong, but you just know that you want things to feel different.
That’s where I come in.
Therapy with me is a place to finally get honest about what you’re carrying.
There are many challenges that simply come with being human—but too often, we carry them in silence, which adds to our suffering in a way that we may not even realize.
I see therapy as a space where you can unburden yourself from struggling in solitude. Meaningful healing happens in connection, and the therapeutic relationship is a safe, structured place where that can unfold.
Therapy is more than simply talking about your feelings (although we’ll certainly do that). At its core, it is a place to build a trusting relationship where you’ll be empowered, supported, and seen.
My approach
-
ACT is a form of therapy based on the idea that suffering increases when we continuously fight what we cannot change. Together, we’ll explore ways that you can take action based on your values rather than reacting to uncomfortable experiences with avoidance.
Studies suggest that ACT can improve psychological flexibility, resilience, emotional regulation, and authenticity.
-
Making change can be challenging when you have mixed feelings about whatever shift you’re looking to make. MI helps people understand those feelings and insecurities and tap into internal motivation to start making changes.
Studies suggest that MI can be effective for many people, including those with anxiety and substance use disorders.
-
Based on the principles of Internal Family Systems therapy, parts work helps people understand the different internal “parts” within them. Essentially, you contain multitudes :) We’ll get to know your parts, understand the roles they play, and help you step into your Self energy so you can feel calm, grounded, and in control.

Therapy with me is…
Collaborative.
Therapy is a mutual effort. I aim to balance deep listening with a level of engagement and participation that lets you know I’m actively invested in your journey.
Grounding.
I’m not a bubbly, high-energy therapist (though I very much appreciate those who are!). I tend to be a good fit for folks who appreciate a steady, calming presence when life feels like too much.
Curious.
You know yourself best, even if it may not feel like it right now. My role is to help you reflect on what’s inside, not make assumptions about your experience.
Outside of the Therapy Room
I love reading, crafting (knitting is my current go-to), reality TV, my two cats Pepper and Pebble, finding new ways to move my body, and doing any and all seasonal activities around our beautiful state!
